Marwell Hotel, near Winchester, was the destination for Katie and Simon after their church wedding in Sholing, Southampton. They were favoured with beautiful early autumn weather on their special the day.
Looking radiant and very excited, Katie arrived at the church in a vintage Rolls Royce. She wore a figure-hugging ivory dress that blossomed into a cloud of lace below the knee. She posed for photographs with her six bridesmaids, all in sea green dresses, before being escorted up the aisle by her beaming father.
Guests left for the wedding reception soon after the service. This gave me the opportunity to capture some beautiful couple portraits of Katie and Simon in the grounds of the church, and in their wedding car.
At Marwell Hotel, their day continued with drinks on the patio, formal group photographs and romantic couple portraits. I make it a point to capture photos of the parents by themselves, as well as any other couples who wanted a quick portrait. It being September, the evenings were drawing in quickly, so romantic portraits after the wedding breakfast took on a more dramatic character.
Katie and Simon again looked so happy as they cut their wedding cake before their first dance together. It had been a truly memorable day for them.
