Bride and groom on the lawn at Carey's Manor

Carey’s Manor in full bloom for Stephanie and Piers’ wedding

Early May, with borders full of rhododendrons and azaleas adding vibrant splashes of red, yellow and purple to my photos, was the perfect time of year for Steph and Piers to celebrate their wedding at Carey’s Manor, Brockenhurst.

Steph wore a beautiful beaded gown from Elderberry Brides, while Piers and his groomsmen looked dashing in their dark green suits – a hue inspired by the New Forest, in which the hotel nestled. It also informed the elegant bridesmaid dresses and their wedding stationery.

After their wedding ceremony in The Lounge and confetti throw outside the Tyrolean-style main entrance, we took advantage of the beautiful gardens as the backdrop to their photos with family and friends. Their wedding breakfast took place in the elegantly-decorated Manor Suite and was followed by eloquent speeches by Stephanie, Piers, his Best Man and mother.

Early evening sunshine and the beautiful borders made for beautiful romantic portraits in the grounds. Once their evening guests had arrived, Steph and Piers cut their wedding cake, then took to the floor for their first dance. A bit later, Steph tossed her bouquet and a group of young friends competed enthusiastically to catch it – one of them did so. It made for an exciting end to my day with Steph and Piers – such a lovely couple.
