Tracey and Jonny got married in the open air, although it was a close-run thing! I drove to the venue through torrential rain. But just a couple of miles away from Lymington, the skies cleared and the sun came out. Jonny was thus able to greet their guests under sunny skies in the beautiful surroundings of The Mill at Gordleton. He and his groomsmen also posed for some photos with attitude in the garden.

But then, with just half an hour to go until the ceremony, the heavens opened again!  Driven through by a brisk wind, however, the sun came out and Tracey and Jonny were able to say their vows next to an arbour bedecked with flowers, just as they had no doubt imagined. Their guests gathered  next to the ornamental lake to witness their happiness.

Champagne and canapés followed, during which Tracey and Jonny posed for photos with their families. On her side, several of them had travelled all the way from South Africa.

Speeches preceded the wedding breakfast. We learned about how Tracey and Jonny met, and how they realised they wanted to make a lifelong commitment to each other.

As dusk fell, it was time to go outside for romantic portraits. With its mill pond as well as the other features in its grounds, The Mill at Gordleton makes for a beautiful wedding venue. The evening concluded with Tracey and Jonny’s first dance, and lots more merriment with their guests.
