A select gathering oif close family and friends gathered at Winchester Registry Office for the wedding of Luke and Aisha. Situated close to the city’s historic Great Hall, where King Arthur’s Round Table hangs in pride of place, it’s an atmospheric location for a civil ceremony.
Aisha walked up the aisle to the strains of a harp played by Eleanor Dunsdon. Luke was clearly entranced by the sight of Aisha in her embroidered silk gown. HIs adorable little daughter acted as bridesmaid and presented the rings at the appropriate moment during the wedding.
After a few group photos, despite bracing temperatures, Luke and Aisha posed for romantic portraits outside the Great Hall and beneath an arch in the city’s Westgate, a relic of the city’s erstwhile fortifications. Their celebrations concluded with an intimate reception with all their friends nearby at the Hotel du Vin.
Just two days later, the government imposed lockdown across the nation. Luke and Aisha were among the last people to get married BC – before coronavirus.
